Our latest conversations episode features two Designers: Lilya Turki and Antonio Fazio, a dynamic creative couple who have become our friends over the years.
Lilya worked in Paris for Purple and Crash magazine then in London with David James creating visual identities for brands like Alexander McQueen and Prada. Mixing different visions, cultures, expected with unexpected, brought her to work with Swatch where she built new links between the art world and the brand via different partnerships (Biennale di Venezia, New Museum, Frieze, etc…), and various collaborations with contemporary artists and designers. Moving to New York for Tiffany, she became the first Sr. Director of Ideation for the brand identifying trends, collaborations and new ways to bring the brand to life in unexpected ways.
Lilya introduced us to Antonio, her partner, who is a widely published and award-winning, multi-disciplinary Italian product and graphic designer. Antonio has created innovative design concepts for different brands in France, Switzerland and New York such as Swatch, Van Cleef & Arpel, Adidas, Maserati, NBA etc. He has that unique experience of both product 3D and visual 2D design which makes his work and concepts come to life. He has also taught product and visual design in Paris and is passionate about the next generation of creatives.
Almost a year ago, they decided to leave their adorable home on Henry Street in Brooklyn and moved back to Switzerland where they founded ARCHYVIO - An Ode to Gesture and the Human Hand. ARCHYVIO is a collection of preserved beautiful objects from around the world where it will find its way to a new interior, a new owner which will write the next chapter of the object's story.
